On the Outside, You’re Doing Everything Right

You’re good at your job, and from the outside you look like someone who has it all figured out. People trust you, lean on you, count on you to have it handled.

Inside, your mind rarely slows down. A small comment at work sets off an entire afternoon of second-guessing, and you replay conversations that ended hours ago, hunting for the thing you should have said.

The stress doesn’t stay at the office, either. It follows you home, and it shows up in your sleep, your patience, the way you can never quite power all the way down.

You Understand the Pattern. That Hasn’t Been Enough

You’re smart about this. You’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, watched the videos, and told yourself to be stronger, to think differently, to let it go.

Sometimes, it works – for a while. Then the anxiety comes back, and the same old fears show up wearing a slightly different face.

There’s a reason for that. When you treat one symptom at a time, it turns into a game of whack-a-mole, and you knock it down in one place only to watch it surface in another.

Being intelligent enough to see the pattern is real, and it counts for something. On its own, though, seeing it has not been enough to change it.

The Longer This Runs, the Smaller Your Life Gets

The pattern has a cost, and it compounds quietly.

You settle for relationships that don’t quite meet you. You talk yourself out of opportunities because the fear sounds so reasonable in the moment.

Perfectionism. People-pleasing. The self-doubt that never fully goes quiet.

And the life you worked so hard to build starts to feel smaller than the one you’re capable of living.

When the Past Still Has a Grip on You

Sometimes, the thing running underneath is an old memory. Not something you sit and think about on purpose, but something your brain keeps flagging as though the danger were still in the room.

You don’t have to relive it to be free of it. I use a method called Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM), a brief, gentle approach that works without re-living or re-telling the worst moments. Most people complete the process in four or five sessions and feel the difference.

When You and Your Partner Keep Having the Same Fight

Sometimes, it isn’t only you. It’s the two of you, circling back to the same argument no matter how it starts or who gives in first.

I work with couples using the Gottman Method to get underneath the fight itself, so you can understand what keeps pulling you both back to it and build something steadier in its place.

You Can Change This

Here’s the good news. A pattern that was learned can be understood, and what you understand, you can change. Once you see the pattern clearly, you can’t unsee it, and that’s exactly where the change begins.

Together, we’ll find your triggers, trace how the pattern took hold, and uncover what’s been keeping it alive. You’ll leave with practical tools you can use right away, and we’ll keep going until the change holds.

The goal is to become free to live the life you’ve been postponing.

Reach Out Now

For more than 15 years, I’ve helped people untangle the patterns that quietly run their lives: anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, and the beliefs about yourself you never chose and have never quite outgrown. Many of my clients arrive frazzled and pulled in ten directions at once, coming in with spaghetti and leaving with everything nicely organized. That’s the work I love.

I’m not the kind of therapist who nods along while you talk in circles. Sessions with me are structured and collaborative, and we’ll do the work. From the very first session, you’ll leave with a clearer understanding of what’s going on and a concrete plan for what comes next.

Over the years, I’ve started practices from scratch on three continents and lived through my own full share of transition, loss, and reinvention. That gave me a real respect for how disorienting uncertainty feels, because I’ve sat in it myself. It also showed me something across very different cultures: while every story is unique, the fears, the self-doubt, and the patterns that keep us circling are remarkably similar.

I don’t judge what I hear, and I adapt quickly to the person in front of me. (I work in both English and Spanish.) My promise is simple: I’ll help you stop managing symptoms and start changing the patterns that created them, so you can reconnect with who you are underneath the anxiety, the expectations, and the old stories.
